Champagne Cocktail (Basic)
For one serve:
- 1 sugar cube
- 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
- 1 ice cube
- champagne
- twist of lemon peel
Method:
Get a wine glass and put your sugar cube inside it. Drizzle the Angostura bitters over the sugar cube so that the cube becomes soaked in the bitters. Add your cube of ice and then top up the glass with champagne. Add your twist of lemon peel and then decorate the glass with a slice of fresh fruit. Cheers!
Note: the above recipe is the basic recipe for a Champagne Cocktail and there are many variations that you can add yourself. For example, you could add a nip of midori, or a nip of bourbon, and you can try adding some juices to the mix as well. Pineapple juice goes very well with midori so a half and half mix of pineapple juice and champagne to top up makes for a refreshing cocktail on long hot summer nights.
